hey! it's been a little while since my last post, so i figured i'd give a small update on what's been happening.
as i mentioned in my last post, i've been trying to slow things down a bit after finishing HTK and Floodgate. and honestly, i've been doing just that! i've spent a good amount of time playing Zelda games, taking a break, and generally not worrying too much about development.
HOWEVER, Cold Front is still being worked on!
since my last post, i've actually gotten a decent amount done. i've written two new sets of dialogue, made a new puzzle, composed a few tracks for the game's OST, and finally finished the starting area!
i've also started working on the village, which is going to be one of the main story locations of the game.
alongside that, i've made the main overworld area (think Hyrule Field), reworked the player movement, and added a rolling mechanic!
so yeah, Cold Front is slowly starting to come together.
also, did i mention this game has an ORIGINAL OST?
i've been composing the music myself, and i've got three tracks made so far! here's a little sneak peek at one of them.
i've been having a lot of fun experimenting with the music, and i'm hoping to have a pretty good soundtrack by the time the game releases.
and one more thing...
i'm currently hoping to release a DEMO for Cold Front sometime in early 2027!
this isn't a confirmed date or anything, and it's definitely a MAYBE, but i'd really like to have something playable out there for people to try next year.
as for everything else, i'm still taking things at my own pace. i'm not planning on going back to the nonstop development schedule i had before, and i don't want to rush Cold Front just to get it finished.
anyway, that's pretty much everything!
see ya!
